Shop Amazon has agreements with all major music labels

Amazon has become the first online store that offers users music tracks of all four major record labels in the MP3 format without copy protection (DRM), according to Reuters.

At Thursday, January 10, 2008, representatives of Amazon said that the company entered into an agreement with Sony BMG.

Devoted to music in MP3 format section appeared in the Amazon store in September 2007. Prior to December 2007 on the site can be purchased tracks Universal Music Group, EMI and a number of independent labels. On December 27, 2007 began to spread through Amazon Warner Music songs.

Note that Sony BMG was the last of the four major music labels, announced plans to abandon DRM- protection. The announcement of this appeared in the beginning of January 2008.
